It’s been Back to School for kids across South Africa this Monday, after the start of the new school year had been delayed due to Covid restrictions. And of course, there are many school children in the Camp Road communities who were eagerly awaiting (or dreading ð) their first day back to school. However, it’s a big struggle for many parents to provide their children with all the necessities: school uniforms, lunches and the never ending list of stationary to be brought to school ð. We have been overwhelmed with the generosity of some anonymous donors ð, which made it possible to relieve the back-to-school burden by providing a stationary pack to 200 learners in the communities last week before the start of school! Thanks again to 9Miles, our ever so faithful partners and list champions ð, for making this stationary run a successful highlight in the lives of these precious kids ðð―! And to all the kids & parents: may the school year 2021 be a happy one for you, full of learning, growth and health and much less ðĪŠ
