Last week our Beyond kids had another amazing outing with Nature Conservationist Christa Stringer, our favourite tree hugger . This time seven children joined the adventure to Cecilia Forest, located in a section of the Table Mountain National Park on the lower eastern slopes of Table Mountain in Cape Town
. The aim was to learn all about Silver trees, but of course Christa took the opportunity to teach the kids about the Pine tree, Blue Gum tree and our local hero, the famous Fynbos.
This hike was not for the faint of heart, but the kids managed the three hours amazingly well as they love being in the mountains, climbing trees and splashing in the streams. Seeing Christa is always a highlight for the whole Beyond group and it’s something we look forward to every month
