Multiplication & Training

We love collaborations. We desire to share and multiply through partnerships, training and capacity building with other organisations.

What does Multiplication mean to HandsandFeet? HandsandFeet are establishing a HOPE Centre in Cape Town, South Africa. We are excited to see this approach spring up in different communities around South Africa and beyond through partnerships and affiliations with other organisations. HandsandFeet still want to create another HOPE Centre in a rural area, where the challenges of poverty and substance abuse are often heightened, and opportunities for change are less. We also appreciate the sharing of ideas and partnerships and are excited to come alongside other like minded organisations to pass on our experience and ideas and inspire greater impact in the communities they work in.

  • capacity building of other organisations, sharing our experience & prototypes
  • influencing government policy around family preservation & education
  • programme development

Hope Centre (urban)

  • urban prototype for community transformation and holistic approach to early and remedial education, family preservation and empowerment
  • ECD, Drop-In Centre, Social Enterprise

Hope Centre/Farm (rural)

  • rural prototype for community transformation and holistic approach to early and remedial education, family preservation and empowerment

Our Core Strategies are:

  1. Create God-inspired solutions to the macro problems of child neglect, abandonment and abuse, gender-based violence, child removals, illiteracy, school drop out, unemployment, poverty and crime.
  2. Use an interdisciplinary and transversal approach collaborating between Western Cape Education Department, Department of Social Development and Department of Health or different government departments and other organisations (Whole of Society approach).
  3. Create opportunities for access to excellent trauma informed services (family preservation, psychosocial, education and primary health care, skills development and work preparation) using a life cycle approach (intervening from conception to death) in the community (Batho Pele principles).
  4. Community-based Centres (ECD, Drop In Centre, Social Enterprise) act as a point of entry to the community for empowerment and restoration. Hosea 2:14-23
  5. Mobilisation of the church – Hebrews 10:23-25, 1 Peter 2:9
  1. Development of a replicable model of Family Preservation
